Participatory Knowing  Gary Stogsdill

In a recent essay, I discussed John Vervaeke and his approach to meaning in life, largely from a perspective that challenged his notion of humanity being in the grip of a meaning crisis. But I also expressed appreciation for his work in general. In this essay, I want to expand on Vervaeke's idea that humans engage in knowing through other valid ways than the familiar intellectual knowing of our rational mind.

AGI and UBI in the Transformation of Eros in Civilization - Joe Corbett

Within the next 5 to 10 years Artificial General Intelligence is set to replace up to 50 percent or more of the workforce, and perhaps up to 80-90 percent in 20 years, completely transforming how human economies and societies work and play. Among the major problems that will emerge is what to do with all the unemployed that have been replaced by AGI. This moment may be the equivalent of the shift from hunting and gathering to agriculture as the main means for how human civilization is organized, and we need to start reflecting on the implications of all this now.

Waking Up in a Dystopian World - Joseph Dillard / AI

While it is always possible to point to the sins of others, this only carries weight when it is clear that we are accepting responsibility for our own. Otherwise, calling out others easily looks like a dodging of responsibility and deflection by changing the subject from our behavior to that of the other.
It is also true that partisans of all sorts are immune to evidence or rational arguments. We can speculate as to the likely reasons.
