THEODICY: A MISSING PIECE - MIKE MCELROY

There is much talk within the Integral Community of the importance of meaning making and some talk of a meaning crisis. We see this in the work of Bonnitta Roy, Daniel Schmachtenberger, Jordan Hall, Jamie Wheal, Zak Stein and Hanzi Freinacht amongst others. Ken Wilber has, as well, weighed in at various times on these issues. The Rebel Wisdom crew have also been presenting thoughtful videos and conferences around these topics.
As interesting as these thinkers have been I feel that what is missing from these discussions is a full inquiry into the meaning of our suffering.

THE "LESSER OF TWO EVILS" FALLACY - And Wilber's Basic Moral Intuition - JOSEPH DILLARD

Sometime before the election you are probably going to hear someone earnestly pronounce that, although Joe Biden is not perfect, he is the lesser of two evils. This is a terrible argument. Instead, they are presenting an emotional defense of their world view and their sense of self and using rationalizations, avoidance, denial, personal attacks, and other defense mechanisms to pretend they are thinking. You need to do them a favor and calmly explain to them how they are embarrassing themselves so that maybe, just maybe, they will stop.
