It is not surprising that certain religionists (usually of the fundamentalist persuasion) don't particularly like the theory of evolution since at its core it upends the idea of a creator, much less one with a benign agenda. Yet, those who favor Intelligent Design and who have voiced their concerns about all things Darwinian provide evolutionary biologists with a valuable opportunity to better clarify their findings. Of course, certain creationists will never be persuaded by whatever evidence is proffered if they have already religiously aligned themselves with an unquestioned interpretation of their chosen revealed book—be it the Bible or the Koran.
