WHAT WILBER GETS WRONG ABOUT PLOTINUS - Brian Hines 

I've written one of the few popular books about Plotinus' philosophy, "Return 
to the One". In translation I've read every word of the Enneads. I've studied 
most of the English-language books about Plotinus and his Neoplatonic 
teachings. My book has been favorably reviewed by scholars who are much more 
knowledgeable about Plotinus than I am. 

So I can confidently say that the Plotinus described by Wilber in "Sex, 
Ecology, Spirituality" is quite different from the Plotinus that I know. 
Granted, Wilber gets a lot right about Plotinus. However, he also gets a lot 
wrong. Thus my purpose in writing this paper is to correct several 
misconceptions about Plotinus in SES.

BEYOND THE PRE/TRANS FALLACY  - Steve Taylor

This paper questions the validity of the pre/trans fallacy in relation to 
childhood spirituality. It suggests that 'pre-egoic' spirituality is as valid 
as 'trans-egoic', and stems from the same source, although it is different in 
some important respects. The sources of spiritual experience in general are 
examined, and it is suggested that childhood as a state of being has ready 
access to these, although mainly to lower intensity spiritual states.
